Aircraft model Supermarine Spitfire MK.Vb
The mass production of the Spitfire started in 1936 and more than 20000 planes were produced until 1948.
Among several variations of this main fighter of Royal Air Force, the Mk.V series was the most widely produced and more than 6500 planes were deployed.
By early 1941, the majority of fighter squadrons were furnished with Spitfire Mk.I.
Improvements were suggested by the pilots and every effort was made to maintain its performance advantages over its opponents.
The main improvement was the use of the more powerful Merlin type 45 engine and a version with a mixed armament of four 7.7mm machine guns and two 20mm cannon was named "Mk.Vb".
Some Mk.Vb's has slipped wing tips for better low altitude maneuverability. In 1942, the Spitfire was also urgently required for operations overseas.
One of the better known versions was the North African prepared Spitfire designated "TROP.", for Tropical.
To protect engine from sand, a Vokes air filter was affixed over the carburetor intake.
Although the filter was successful, its large mass reduced the aircraft's speed.
The problem was solved by 103rd maintenance unit stationed at Aboukir, who designed a smaller more streamlined unit that was equally effective.
The spitfire went through numerous minor and major changes throughout its production life, and served with distinction on every battle front of the war.
Scale : 1:24
The 1:24 scale is mainly used for models of cars, motorcycles and aircraft.
It allows a high level of detail.
For example, a motorcycle model in the 1:24 scale will measure 4 inches / 10.4 cm if the original motorcycle measures 2.5m in length (250/24 = 10.41).
A plane in the 1:24 scale will measure 1 foot 6 inches / 45cm in length if the aircraft model is 11m long (1100-1124 = 45.8).

To build a plastic model airplane, you need the following tools:
- a cutter or cutting pliers
- and model glue.
You can also paint the model with a brush (acrylic or enamel paint).
The model consists of different parts to cut and assemble.
Construction time will vary depending on the number of parts.
An instruction manual is provided for you inside the box.

F. Royston A very impressive kit of the superb MiG-29 Fulcrum. The kit is highly detailed with an arsenal of weapons options and two great marking options in the box, one Ukrainian and a Russian machine. I have wanted a big Fulcrum for some times, now I finally have one, great job Trumpeter! *

A. Anonymous The "ultimate" Flogger variant comes in a box absolutely packed with sprues. The kit itself is well detailed and boasts a complete engine and removable rear fuselage to display it. There's lots of ordnance to hang off your Flogger and markings are courtesy of two Afghan War machines from the late 80s. Overall, should build into an impressive replica of the real MiG-23. *
