The Tamiya Ducati Superleggera V4 1:12 scale model kit (ref.14140) is a premium set designed for motorcycle enthusiasts and demanding modelers. With outstanding accuracy, this kit reproduces Ducati’s lightest and most powerful production bike ever made.
About the vehicle:
The Ducati Superleggera V4 is a one-of-a-kind hypersport, limited to only a few hundred units worldwide. Powered by the Desmosedici Stradale R engine, it delivers over 230 hp while remaining extremely lightweight thanks to extensive carbon fiber use. It embodies exclusivity and MotoGP-inspired engineering.
Historical background:
Launched in 2020, the Superleggera V4 marked a milestone by blending Ducati’s MotoGP expertise with a road-legal motorcycle. Each unit is individually numbered, making it a rare collector’s item and a symbol of Italian mechanical excellence.

This kit includes finely molded injected plastic sprues, a detailed V4 engine, monocoque frame, multi-part fairings, realistic rubber tires, metal screws, and accurate decals to replicate the official Ducati livery.

The 1:12 scale is mainly used for models and miniatures like motorcycles. A model of motorcycle in the 1:12 scale will be 12 times smaller than the actual bike. If the motorcycle is 2.5 m in length, then the miniature will measure 8 inches / 20.8 cm in length (250/12 = 20.8). figures in the 1:12 scale are about 6 inches /15 cm high.
