Production of the Honda Dax, the successor to the Monkey, was discontinued in 1981, but the Dax returned in 1995 with a design very similar to the original. In March 2022, Honda announced the release of the Dax125, which retains characteristic elements such as the T-frame, a long bench seat and a chrome riser silencer. The 9.4 hp Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) engine is a 123 cc SOHC 4-stroke single-cylinder, delivering high torque thanks to its centrifugal clutch and four-speed transmission. At the Bangkok International Motor Show 2023, the Dax125 Tamiya Limited Edition version was presented, with a metallic blue body adorned with Tamiya's two-star logos and checkered flag patterns, giving a unique racing look.
