Based on kit 24338, Tamiya offers fans of fine mechanics the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL in a “Full-View” version, allowing you to admire the interior of the model thanks to transparent body parts. The 300 SL released in 1954 is a production version of a very successful racing prototype dating from 1952. Designed around a lightweight multi-tubular chassis, the car owes much of its fame to its “butterfly” opening doors. Its 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine was the first to benefit from direct fuel injection.
