The Messerschmitt Me262 was the world's first operational jet fighter. In April 1939 Messerschmitt launched a project to develop a new high-speed jet fighter.

Powered by two Yumer 004B jet engines, the Me262 was able to reach a high speed of 870 km/h at an altitude of 6,000 meters. The aircraft had a lift of 11,400 meters and a range of 1,050 kilometers.

The basic armament of the Me262 was the four MK108 30mm machine guns mounted on the nose of the aircraft, in addition to two sets of R4M rockets mounted under the belly if required.

The 1:48 scale is the queen size scale for model planes.
