What is the Panzer II ?
 

The Panzer II was a German-made tank. Like the PzKpfw I, it was designed as a transitional tank, pending the mass production of the PzKpfw III and PzKpfw IV. These two types of vehicles were intended to provide training vehicles for Panzerwaffe crews to develop tactics for the future Blitzkrieg. However, the delay in the production of battle tanks forced the Germans to massively use the PzKpfw II at the beginning of the Second World War and it is only from 1941 that this model was gradually withdrawn from the front.
