Warlord Games’ fantastic new collaboration with Airfix marries the fantastically fluid Blood Red Skies gameplay with the exceptional 1:72 aircraft of the venerable model manufacturers.
Written by Andy Chambers, Blood Red Skies is a tabletop miniatures game where you take command of a force of fighter aircraft in battle.
The emphasis in Blood Red Skies is on action and the game is fast-paced, with no pre-plotting or book-keeping required.
A game of Blood Red Skies with two planes per side can be fought in twenty minutes or less.
The Airfix Presents Blood Red Skies box set comes complete with everything you need to get playing the game, and four aircraft: two Supermarine Spitfire Mk IIs and two Messerschmitt Bf109-Es, in 1:72 scale.
Scale : 1:72
The 1:72 scale is ideal for model planes, military models and figures. This means that the model is 72 times smaller than the actual object.
For example, a model 1:72 scale airplane measures 8 inches / 20cm in length if the real object measures 14.4 m (1440 cm).
The figures in the 1:72 scale measure about 1 inch / 2.5cm high.

To build a plastic model airplane, you need the following tools:
- a cutter or cutting pliers
- and model glue.
You can also paint the model with a brush (acrylic or enamel paint).
The model consists of different parts to cut and assemble.
Construction time will vary depending on the number of parts.
An instruction manual is provided for you inside the box.
