The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 in Dumbarton, Scotland, and was intended to compete with the Thermopylae in the line of merchant sailing ships. This clipper was a true giant of the seas, designed for incredible speed. It was mainly used for the transport of tea between China and England, but it also played a role in the wool trade in Australia. The Cutty Sark became famous for her speed, breaking several records during her career.
The model is faithful to the original, with a hull built on frames and double planking, then copper-plated to reflect the appearance of the historic ship. The Cutty Sark is a symbol of the Golden Age of Sail, and its preservation at the Greenwich Museum makes it a must-see attraction. This model allows modelers and collectors to relive the legacy of this legendary clipper.

J. EricJust one small downside the sails are not included. *
L. Arnaudexpensive for a small model *
P. PascalI have purchased the model of The Girl and have several problems. The hull lining is not proportional to the boat as they are very wide. The plans have little detail to carry out the assembly. e.-The masts to make the sails are missing. I was able to assemble them because I have material that is not part of the product.-I had to modify some of the pieces corresponding to the port and starboard bulwarks. *

S. RubénAmerigo Vespucci curious that there is a Dutch text on the different pages, but easy! many brass parts, but moderately explained in detail. What is stated as WALNUT, is NOT present as such, so that is blown biting. Whether everything is complete , will have to be seen during construction. The order via the site was rather difficult because it was not clearly indicated how you could specify the payment. By the end of the day, just click on save!! it eventually worked. *
A. AnonymousReception of the model without concern and steep Excellent model at an interesting scale of 1/47th Lots of details and beautiful finish. The assembly instructions seem clear. To see when the model is completed! *
