In January 1945, the USS Missouri, which officially joined the U.S. Pacific Fleet, took part in a few battles, including Two Jima, the Battle of Okinawa and Japanese attack operations between February and July 1945.
Missouri witnessed the historic moment of the end of World War II - at 9:02 a.m. on September 2, 1945, Japan's representative signed the unconditional surrender of Missouri, stationed in Tokyo Bay.
