The four-engined Avro Lancaster was without doubt the most famous of all RAF heavy bombers of WW2.
It formed the backbone of night bomber offensives deep into Germany starting in 1942 and gained notoriety for sinking the Tirpitz and destroying the Möhne and Eder dams.
The Lancaster was capable of carrying bomb loads up to 9,980 kg, the heaviest single bomb being the Grand Slam .
It saw service in 68 RAF Bomber Command squadrons until 1945 and flew a total of more than 156,000 sorties.
Of a total of 7,300 aircraft produced, almost half were lost during these missions.
Today, only two airworthy examples remain, one in the UK and one in Canada.

The 1:72 scale is ideal for model planes, military models and figures. This means that the model is 72 times smaller than the actual object. For example, a model 1:72 scale airplane measures 8 inches / 20cm in length if the real object measures 14.4 m (1440 cm). The figures in the 1:72 scale measure about 1 inch / 2.5cm high.

The packaging of the airplane model fell off when I took it out of the package, as did the paint and brush. S it was supposed to be a gift, I had to glue everything back together. This did not affect the function of the model, however. *

M. Jean-Philippe I was a little bit skeptical, but my order was fullfilled and the service was great. The 747-8F is very hard to find and I needed a model in order to model the last 747 every produced. Delivered and is already under construction. I would recommend 1001 Hobbies to anyone looking for models which are hard to find. *
