What is a diorama?

The diorama is an art that allows you to recreate real scenes through miniature sets composed of vegetation, animals, models or figurines. It will allow you to create a mini world and to give life to your model in a historical, military or daily context by integrating it in a realistic environment.

How to make a diorama ?

First of all, to create a set from a diorama, it is important to have all the necessary material for your reconstruction. For example, in the reconstruction of an agricultural farm, you will need tractor cars, miniature animal figurines, noch trays or even fiber flocking while for the realization of a war reconstruction you will need military model figurines, foam island lichen or metal anti-tank barriers.

For the background, you can decide to paint it, draw it yourself on your own background or use wrapping paper. If you decide on a flat background you can also use wooden plates, which you can find for example in DIY stores. The background must be compatible with the chosen scale. The construction of the background is always done from the back to the front.
